Professor Luís Almeida Costa has recently won, for the second time in the last three years, the CEMS Course of the Year award for the course “Negotiation Strategy,” offered by Nova School of Business & Economics. The course was voted by the CEMS students as the best course in the Strategy category.

“Negotiation Strategy” is a course that offers a strategic and integrated perspective about how to better prepare for all different types of negotiating situations. “The course,” states Professor Luís Almeida Costa, “develops an analytical framework that helps students understand a negotiating situation, the tactics that are available, and the array of moves that can be employed to improve their prospects.” This course is also based on the simulation Negotiation Dynamics – The Game™, developed by Professor Ingemar Dierickx and Professor Luís Almeida Costa, which is an innovative state-of-the-art computer program that evaluates deals and tracks their ramifications for future transactions. It provides highly realistic, intense, and time-effective learning experiences regarding business situations and negotiations.
