Master's Programs

Application to Isolated Curricular Units

Master's students from other schools within Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, as well as from other higher education institutions, and bachelor's graduates who are not currently enrolled in a master's program, may apply to Nova SBE's isolated curricular units as external students.

Acceptance is subject to available vacancies and an evaluation of the candidate's academic background to ensure they meet the course prerequesites. External students may take up to 60 ECTS in total, with a maximum of 14 ECTS per semester, depending on availability.

All courses are taught in English.

First Semester

Applications (2nd Trimester): September 1 to September 10, 2025 until 5.00 pm (Lisbon time)

Second Semester

Applications (3rd Trimester): to be defined*

Applications (4th Trimester): to be defined*

  • Applications for isolated curricular units must be submitted via the form available on this page during the application period, along with the required documentation.
  • Results are sent to candidates at the email address provided during the application process. It is the candidate's responsibility to regularly check their email, including advertisement, spam, and junk folders, as well as to comply with deadlines in case clarifications are requested.
  • If the isolated course units are accepted by Nova SBE and subsequently accepted by the candidates, payment will be due.

External Students:

  • 7 ECTS: 1500€
  • 3.5 ECTS: 750€

 

Alumni

  • 7 ECTS: 750€
  • 3.5 ECTS: 375€
  • Traced copy of the front and back of the identification document (ID, Citizen's Card, or Passport), with due consent of the holder, for data validation;
  • Curriculum Vitae in English
  • Bachelor's degree diploma with a description of courses taken, ECTS, and grades, in English; or current transcript of records with a decription of courses taken, ECTS, and grades, in English
  • Motivational letter in English (maximum one page)
  • Other relevant documents such as diplomas, certifications, and recommendation letters that may be useful to certify your qualifications and curriculum

 


Disclaimer: when choosing the isolated curricular units, students must comply with each isolated curricular unit's requirements. Students who do not meet the requirements may attend the curricular unit by means of a written requirement and prior authorization by the head of the isolated curricular unit.
