First Step - Online Application
The admission process starts with the submission of the online application and the necessary documentation (mentioned above). Evidence of professional experience can be provided through:
- A) The declaration of employers (current or past) and/or
- B) indication of employers' contacts (name, telephone, and email) to request a professional reference
Second Step – Interview
General Admission: Applicants may have an online interview to analyze motivations, align expectations, and assess the applicant's eligibility and profile for the program.
Step Three – Decision
After evaluating the application, the Admissions Committee will make the final decisions. Selection decisions will be made in phases: from May to June, for admissions in October.
The Admissions Committee is chaired by the Deputy Director, responsible for Pre-Experience Programs, which includes, among other operational members, the Academic Director of each Master's program, the Director of the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office, the Director of Institutional Relations and International Development and the Director of the Quality Department.
When considering the applications, the following elements are considered: final graduation classification, school of origin, Curriculum vitae, relevance of professional experiences, and candidate profile for the program being applied for.
Occasionally, for each program and/or each application phase, the ranking algorithm may undergo revisions/adjustments.
After the final decision on all the candidates, the Admissions Committee prepares a map that gathers the information from the evaluation of all the candidates, indicating the last admission/rejection resolution.
Decisions are communicated individually to each candidate by email. Applicants are responsible for checking their email account for School communications (including spam and junk folder). If you do not get any communication from the school, you should email or call the Executive Master's Team. If the successful applicants do not confirm their commitment to start the Program, the places will be considered free and transferred to the next selection process.
Whenever requested, the result of the selection and ranking may be disclosed, in strict compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (General Regulation on Data Protection).
Fourth Step - Enrollment
Successful applicants will have to pay a fee of 1000€ (non-refundable), which will be deducted later from the total program fee.
Candidates will have a deadline to make their registration and respective payment, so they are not considered exceptions or late payments.
The payment of the registration fee is mandatory, and the request for adjournment will always be subject to validation by the Executive Master’s Team (exed.masters@novasbe.pt).
They will also have to inform the school of their decision at the latest by the date of payment of the registration fee. Failure to comply with this deadline or a request for adjournment not accepted, requires the submission of a new application.
The postponement request may be subject to a re-enrollment fee.
If you have any questions about the admission process or other information, it is recommended that you contact the Executive Master’s Team.
