The Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism and Hospitality (WiTH) is a result of the partnership between Nova SBE and the Westmont Hospitality Group aimed at leveraging management and leadership skills in the tourism and hospitality industry while preparing young leaders to drive innovative and competitive organizations.

Our mission is to inspire and prepare the leaders of tomorrow in all industries by using hospitality principles and mindset as an approach to provide service excellence and drive innovative and sustainable customer-centric organizations.

Innovation is thus a significant element of our courses, sustainability is a core principle of our DNA, and people are our passion. Costumers are at the foundation of our strategies.

The logic of impact is one of the key things that we aim to deliver. We genuinely believe that with this approach and partnership, we can transform this industry, introducing new leaders with new visions and a sustainable perspective on transforming the world into a better place.

Currently, the institute has an area of expertise in Hospitality & Customer Experience, which is part of the Nova SBE Master's in Management, a data and knowledge platform to support sustainable tourism in African countries and an executive post-graduation in Advanced Management for Hospitality. It also incorporates a Council group with Portuguese Tourism CEOs who meet every six months to debate tourism's recovery and reskilling challenges. A Human Resources Tourism Forum is also held once a year.

This is a knowledge-based project with two main strategic orientations:

  • Leverage management and leadership skills Nova SBE's academic, innovative, and entrepreneurial framework in tourism and hospitality
  • Lead and capitalize on hospitality customer-focused skills and principles for other industries

Within the Hospitality & Customer Experience vertical, Nova SBE has been developing programs to boost its ecosystem by training industry leaders and imprinting a lifelong learning experience mindset.

Westmont Hospitality Hall

The Westmont Hospitality Hall is located at the Carcavelos Campus and aims to be a learning hub for excellence in customer service and professional skills improvement.

The Westmont Hospitality Hall is a flexible quality space inspired by the hotel's lobby concept. It is meant for student use, ideal for sharing knowledge and co-creating experiences.

It's a 200-square meter lounge with two mezzanines for small study groups, coworking, casual meetings, and events. It is equipped with sophisticated audio and visual support system. There is also a pantry for coffee breaks, breakfast, cocktails, and three meeting rooms with an incredible sea view.

The Westmont Hospitality Hall is also available for independent corporate events.
