What you need to know before enrolling

To apply for an Exchange Program at Nova SBE you first need to check whether your Home University is a Nova SBE partner - you can find the list of partner universities on our website. After formal nomination by your home school, you will receive an automatic link for you to fill in your online application (only done on our platform), after which you will be contacted by Nova SBE’s Exchange team. In general terms, students will receive their acceptance letter and welcome email in October (for Spring) and June (for Fall).

Requirements

Confirmation of English Level B2:

  • IELTS 6
  • TOEFL iBT 80
  • CFE minimum 170 or grade C (minimum 170),
  • CAE Advanced (any grade),
  • CPE with any pass grade,
  • High school education fully taught in English or Bachelor’s fully taught in English,
  • Statement issued by home school stating fluency in B2 level of English.

Applicants to the exchange program at the Masters’ level are required to hold an undergraduate degree or at least 180 ECTS, otherwise, the nomination will not be accepted.

Recommendations

The Programs demand the use of quantitative techniques, so applicants should have had exposure to adequate quantitative subjects in their previous academic studies.

Students are expected to be fluent in oral and written English as the courses are offered in English.

Students may only attend the level of courses they were nominated to (e.g. Bachelors can only participate in Bachelor level courses, etc.), and no exceptions will be allowed.

Preparing the perfect Learning Agreement

This is the major element of your application. In order to carefully choose the courses to attend at Nova SBE, the following guidelines will be very helpful:

  • Choose from courses available to exchange students
  • Make sure your academic background meets the requirements defined for each selected course
  • Select courses at Nova SBE that complement those at home and seek the pedagogical assistance from your Student Exchange Coordinator to design your study plan
  • Learning Agreements are signed once before your arrival and once more after the last enrollment period (should you need to make changes).
