Society | 13 September 2024 Nova SBE Increases Investment to €3.1 Million for Scholarships

Nova SBE plans to offer more than 400 scholarships – including social mobility, continuity, and merit scholarships – for the upcoming academic year (2024-2025) to provide financial support to its students.

In total, €3.1 million will be invested in the scholarship program in 2024, representing a 29 % increase compared to the previous period (€2.4 million) – a testament to the school’s commitment to education and its mission to provide quality education for all.

In the previous academic year, to ensure that no student is left behind and affirming its position as an open, inclusive, and welcoming school, Nova SBE met 100 % of eligible financial aid requests from its students – both new and existing. These aids cover not only tuition fees (full or partial) but also, for example, accommodation and food costs.

Pedro Oliveira, Dean of Nova SBE, emphasizes that “we aim to be an increasingly inclusive school, and every year, we have been increasing the budget of our scholarship program to give opportunities to all those who, despite their academic merit, may not have the financial means to join the school. This is an investment we make with great pride to transform the talent and ambition of today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders.”

In addition to being the number one business school in Portugal, Nova SBE is part of the “elite group” of schools with the best Master’s programs in Finance and Management, and it is also one of the higher education institutions with the most affordable programs. Among the top 20 schools with the best Master’s programs in Finance (according to the Financial Times ranking), Nova SBE ranks third with the lowest tuition fees.

In recent years, Nova SBE has gained a prominent position in the international higher education landscape, being one of the most prestigious European business schools, standing out in global rankings with the 7th-best Master’s in Finance and the 15th-best Master’s in Management in the world (Financial Times ranking).
