The Financial Times Masters in Finance ranking, which annually lists the 65 best Master’s in Finance worldwide, has named Nova SBE’s International Master’s in Finance (IMF) as the 7th best in the world, rising four positions compared to the previous year, and reinforcing its position in the 'elite group' among the best Master's in Finance programs. Nationally, Nova SBE’s IMF also maintained its leadership. 

The school scored high and consistently evaluated in most indicators, with a particular emphasis on the relevance obtained in the indicators of international mobility of its graduates and international course experience. Nova SBE occupies the 5th position worldwide in both metrics. Another highlight is the 3-month employability indicator, where the school achieves the maximum rating of 100%. Nova SBE also stands out in the international faculty criteria, with 51% of its faculty coming from different countries.   

Furthermore, Nova SBE is the best-ranked Portuguese school in the carbon footprint indicator (which evaluates the school's carbon emissions over the last three years), occupying the 10th position worldwide. The school also presents the highest level of student satisfaction among Portuguese schools, with a score of 8.9 on a ten-point scale. 

Pedro Oliveira, Dean of Nova SBE, highlights: "These results, the best ever for a Portuguese school in the Financial Times rankings, are excellent not only for Nova SBE, but for Portugal. New generations of higher education students increasingly desire international mobility and geographic diversity. This ambition brings increased responsibility to educational institutions that face challenges in building curricula and pedagogical methods capable of responding to market demands, which also increasingly favors candidates with multicultural knowledge. The indicators where we stand out are a reflection of this result, as we focus daily on ensuring an international experience for our students - from the geographical diversity of our faculty to the international career opportunities we provide during and after their studies."  

The Financial Times Masters in Finance 2024 ranking evaluates and lists the 65 best Master’s in Finance from around the world, covering 20 indicators to classify the quality of the Master's degree and the school in three main dimensions: career progress of graduates; school diversity and international experience, research and carbon footprint.   

Nova SBE's International Master's in Finance program is aimed at undergraduate students who are looking for an international career after completing the Master's program and aspire to rapid progression in the financial area. It is a selective program that provides students with the tools, concepts, and training to succeed internationally. Students who complete this Master's degree seek an international career in multinational organizations in the finance field.
