Pedro Pita Barros and Eduardo Costa, from the Nova SBE Health Economics & Management Knowledge Center, presented the 2022 Report on Human Resources for Health. This study concludes that about 25% of doctors are over 65 years old and 5,000 will retire by 2030. Furthermore, the report shows that doctors lost 18% of their purchasing power in the last decade.
