Nova SBE will sponsor the Summer Institute in Computational Social Science from 19 to 29 June 2022. Its purpose is to bring together social scientists, data scientists, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and beginning faculty interested in computational social science. The event is co-organized by Qiwei Han from Nova SBE and Filipa Reis from Católica CLSBE. As the only program in Iberia, it aims to provide free training for social science researchers who want to learn essential knowledge from the emerging area of computational social science, taught by the leading scientists from Princeton and Duke. It will also have a local speaker series from the University of Lisbon, United Nations University on topics like fake news and e-governance.
