Pedro Gardete won the 2020 Dick Wittink Prize for the best paper published in the Quantitative Marketing and Economics journal. The paper Dynamic effects of price promotions: field evidence, consumer search, and supply-side implications was co-authored by Andrés Elberg (Diego Portales University, Chile), Rosario Macera and Carlos Noton (both from Universidad de los Andes, Chile) and investigates the dynamic effects of price promotions in a retail setting through the use of a large-scale field experiment, including the promotion of 170 products across 17 categories in 10 supermarkets of a major retailer in Chile.
