João Amador isan Associate Professor (Adjunct) at Nova School of Business and Economics wherehe teaches Macroeconomic Policies and European Economy. He has also taughtMicroeconomics and Macroeconomics in other departments of Universidade Nova andin executive programs. He has completed his Ph.D. in Economics in 2000.

João Amador has been combining academic work and economic policyactivities. He is currently head of the Public Finance and StructuralStudies division in the Economics and Research Department of Banco de Portugal.He has published several policy-papers by Banco de Portugal, chapters in books,as well as articles in international academic journals. His research interestsare international trade, product market and productivity, macroeconomics,public finance, Portuguese economy and European economy
