Mariana Costa is an Economist and Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at Nova School of Business and Economics, where she teaches Industrial Organization. With over fifteen years of experience at the Portuguese Competition Authority, she has developed expertise in competition policy and the economic analysis of mergers, acting as team leader in complex merger review cases across sectors such as telecommunications, media, healthcare, and retail. She has also represented Portugal in international fora including the OECD, the International Competition Network, and the European Commission.
