Ante Šterc is an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at Nova School of Business and Economics. He joined Nova SBE after completing his PhD studies at CERGE-EI, Czech Republic. He also holds a Master of Arts in Economics from CERGE-EI and a Master of Science in Financial and Business Mathematics from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. As a PhD student, Ante had research visits at the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minnesota) in 2022, NYU (New York City, New York) in 2023, and spent time at the ECB (Frankfurt, Germany) in 2024 as PhD intern. In his research, Ante focuses on household finance and macroeconomics, applying numerical optimization, statistics, data analysis skills, and machine learning techniques to address relevant and complex financial and economic problems.
