Jan Corstjens is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management at Nova School of Business and Economics. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at Singapore Management University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Ghent University in 2021. His research focuses on talent acquisition and assessment. He studies both the design features of selection methods—ensuring they are fair, valid, and strategically aligned—and the candidate experience, exploring how individuals process and respond to selection methods. His work has been featured in reputable journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology (ABS/AJG 4*). In teaching, he covers quantitative research methods and contemporary HRM topics, integrating practical insights from his previous experience as an HR consultant.
