The Social Sciences DataLab, one of Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) research infrastructures, is strengthening the means through which its expertise can impact the world by providing free access to a complete set of databases relevant for conducting research in Social Sciences, and robust infrastructure for data analysis.
The Social Sciences DataLab, located in room D138, in the Santander Academic Hall, hosts unique administrative microdata and now has ten additional workstations. This upgrade will thus enhance the lab’s computing capacity, making it easier for a broader number of Nova SBE researchers, faculty, students, and experts to access the center’s microdata sets – MISI and “Quadros de Pessoal.”
By augmenting its workstation capacity, the Social Sciences DataLab is supporting Nova SBE’s research community, as well as public and private institutions, given that it’s making the lab’s infrastructure, which integrates the Portuguese Roadmap of Research Infrastructures, available so that they can run data analysis software and store their data.
DataLab is co-funded by Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the European Intra-Communitarian Funds (FEDER), OP Norte, and OP Lisboa-Vale-do-Tejo. For more information on how you can benefit from its resources, please get in touch with Alice Caetano, the Nova SBE DataLab Safe Center’s Project Manager, by emailing alice.caetano@novasbe.pt.
