Francisco Santos, current Nova SBE Executive Education's Marketing & Communications Team Leader, and Mariana Coimbra, former Nova SBE Executive Education's Product, Marketing & Communications Team Leader, were the big winners of the 25th edition of the Young Lions Portugal competition in the Marketing category.
Aimed at young talented pairs under 30 years old who work at Portuguese companies, the Young Lions Portugal competition intends to boost national talent in creative areas such as marketing, digital, public relations, among others. This year it took place from May 7 to May 10 in a hybrid format at Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) and online.
Francisco Santos e Mariana Coimbra, the current and former Nova SBE Executive Education's Marketing & Communications Team Leader, respectively, were the biggest winners of the 25th edition of Young Lions Portugal representing Nova SBE and Education in a competition in which participate mainly more creative professionals, products, and companies.
The duo had 48 hours to answer the challenge given to them by this initiative's sponsors, which uniquely this year had more than 60 jury members, among which professionals who represented Portugal for the first time in each of the categories. By the end, seven winning duos were selected – one in each category – and they will represent Portugal in the international Young Lions competition, part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It will take place on May 24, and the winners will be announced at the ceremony.
In Francisco's words, it was important to «demystify the idea of what is a brand that can be considered institutional, and that, nevertheless, manages to develop talent in the area of creativity and have good professionals, capable of delivering "out of the box" projects.» Mariana Coimbra, current Head of Marketing at ERA Imobiliária, on the other hand, underlines the quality of the competition and of the participants from sectors "that could be more disruptive in this context," and their experience in previous editions and how it only values this recognition even more.
Congratulations, team!
