As a school focused on entrepreneurship that is dedicated to the creation of inspiring talent and meaningful solutions, Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) will co-organize another event focused on the promotion of knowledge that impacts the world – Marketing with Purpose Colloquium.

Knowing that change is inevitable and that organizations and their offers need to adapt to the growing challenges imposed by new realities, Nova SBE, in partnership with the Amélia de Mello Foundation, will organize, on March 15, at 2.00 pm, an event dedicated to the advancement of marketing and how consumer behavior newest tendencies have been building not only brands’ marketing strategies but also, and through them, the importance of social and environmental sustainability.

The Marketing with Purpose Colloquium aims to discuss the most pressing issues that organizations and brands nowadays face and reflect on their role in building, as the name suggests, marketing with purpose and with a positive impact on environmental and social sustainability for all stakeholders.

Daniel Traça, Dean of Nova SBE, and Vasco Mello, President of the Amélia de Mello Foundation, will present the event, which will have talks with several renowned international speakers such as Michael Norton (Harvard), Nicole Mead (York), Margaret C. Campbell (Colorado Boulder) and Gabe Davies and João Macedo from the company Patagonia. There will also be a roundtable to debate the challenges and the inherent opportunities of marketing with purpose. It will be moderated by Catherine da Silveira, Professor at Nova SBE, and will have as main discoursers António Casanova, Unilever’s CEO, Catarina Rocha Gouveia, Member of CUF’s Executive Board, Ludovid Reysset, Danone Portugal’s Country Managing Director, and Marta Sousa Uva, Board of Directors of Brisa.  

The event, promoted by the Nova SBE Leadership for Impact Knowledge Center, is free and meant for marketing professionals, academia, students, and society at large. It was co-organized by Nova SBE faculty specialized in marketing and is part of a series of commemorative events to celebrate the 150 years since Alfredo da Silva’s birth, the founder of CUF.
