After welcoming António Simões, HSBC’s CEO in the United Kingdom, Nova School of Business & Economics invites three Alumni with a unique professional path to share more about their lives, their work, and their expectations towards the future.
Maria João Carioca, Vera Pinto Pereira, and João Talone will thus be the three distinguished guests of the Future Talks conference, taking place next November 24th, at 06:30 p.m., in room A223.
Maria João Carioca started her career at McKinsey & Company, then SIBS and even Caixa Geral de Depósitos. However, Maria João reached a high point when she was appointed the first woman ever to lead Euronext Lisbon – Lisbon’s stock exchange. Vera Pinto Pereira, on the other hand, started her career at Mercer Management Consulting, until she founded Innovagency, a consulting company that focuses on strategic and technological innovation. She had leading positions at ZON and MEO until she was appointed Executive Vice-President Iberia at Fox. In turn, João Talone began his long career at Banco Comercial Português, where he worked for 13 years. He also worked for the Portuguese government, as Special Commissionaire, and for EDP, as CEO. As of now, he is one of Magnum Capital’s managing partners.
Knowing the importance of these speakers’ professional experience and the impact that it may have to the school’s students, Daniel Traça, Nova SBE’s Dean, will sit down with Maria João Carioca, Vera Pinto Pereira, and João Talone so that they can talk about their careers, the challenges they now face, and how they prepare for the future. As Alumni, they will also discuss Nova SBE as well as this generation’s role, in which all Nova SBE new talents are a part of.
As was previously mentioned, the conference will take place on November 24th, at 06:30 p.m., in room A223, and all students, Alumni, faculty, and staff are invited to attend this dynamic and inspirational talk about life, work and the future. To attend, make sure you register here.
