As a community dedicated to the development of talent and knowledge that impacts the world, Nova SBE is proud to prepare programs that help students to leave their mark on the world.

That’s why the Nova SBE Fellowship for Excellence program will have once again Leadership as its main subject lead by Professor Miguel Pina e Cunha. The goal is to inspire Fellows to go beyond the “here and now” and strengthen their career and personal paths by providing a fertile ground for personal and societal reflection.

The first session took place this Saturday, November 9, in Carcavelos, at 9.00 am, with Professor Miguel Pina e Cunha, a specialist in leadership and organizational behavior. This session focused on “What kind of leader am I?” and intended to give students self-knowledge tools, coupled with an improv session where students tested the boundaries of their comfort zone.

The following sessions will contemplate discussions and practical exercises that will include mindfulness sessions to combine scientific knowledge with personal reflection. The program will culminate in a discussion over the current and future challenges of management.

Fellows will also have several activities this semester, such as a breakfast and a study trip at Lidl’s headquarters (November 22) and a Crack the Case with McKinsey & Company (November 29). After that, the following leadership sessions will take place.
