Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) strengthened its standing among the top 20 European business schools this year, rising to 17th place in the Financial Times Best European Business Schools 2025 ranking.
This result not only reaffirms the School’s relevance within the global landscape of leading business schools, but also consolidates Portugal’s impact in the broader context of European higher education.
The recognition reflects Nova SBE’s continued investment in academic excellence, research, pedagogical innovation, and close collaboration with companies—factors that distinguish the School in an increasingly demanding global environment.
“This outcome is the best ever achieved by a Portuguese school and reinforces Nova SBE’s position among the elite of European business schools. Recently, our Master’s in Management was ranked 4th worldwide and our Master’s in Finance 6th, and being once again recognized by the Financial Times among the best schools in Europe and the world demonstrates the ambition, consistency, and real impact of our project. We remain committed to raising the standards of quality, innovation, and scientific rigor that place Nova SBE at the level of the world’s most prestigious institutions. This upward movement in the ranking confirms that our work is helping position the country on the map of major European and global business schools,” said Nova SBE Dean Pedro Oliveira.
The Financial Times Best European Business Schools ranking offers a comprehensive evaluation of the 100 leading business schools in Europe, combining the results of the rankings for Master’s in Management, Global MBA, Executive MBA, and Executive Education.
Nova SBE’s performance in this ranking reflects its positions within these categories in Europe (4th place for the International Master’s in Management, 13th place in custom Executive Education programs, 22nd in open-enrollment programs, 24th for The Lisbon MBA, and 39th for the Lisbon MBA Executive).
