Promoted by Nova | 05 March 2019 Luís Rebelo dos Santos represented Nova SBE in the well-known MIRAI program

MIRAI, the short-term youth exchange where university students from different areas have the opportunity to explore Japan for a week, took place between December 5th and December 14th and Luís Rebelo dos Santos, a Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) alumnus and Teaching Assistant, represented the school.

The MIRAI Program was launched and sponsored by the Government of Japan with the goal of deepening participants’ understanding of Japanese culture, history, economy, and policy, as well as promoting relations and cooperation between Japan and other countries. It also aims to improve mutual understandings, enhance intellectual discussions, and build strong networks among future leaders of Japan and the world.

Luís, then a Nova SBE student, represented the school in the 2018 edition, which took place in Japan between December 5th and December 14th, alongside 39 additional Politics, Security Policies, Economics, International Relations, Asian Studies, and Japan studies’ students from 26 other European countries.

In his words “The MIRAI Program not only allowed me to have a full and holistic perspective of Japan, thanks to the diversity and quality of the activities but also provided the opportunity to interact and share experiences with young leaders of the future. I believe that the importance these initiatives have in fostering understanding and cooperation between countries should not be diminished.”

Thank you and congratulations, Luís!
