The Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality hosted, last Wednesday, May 22, the "Líderes do Turismo" ("Tourism Leaders”) Conference, where the primary agents of change and innovation in the sector were awarded.  

This initiative, promoted in partnership with TNews and with the support of Turismo de Cascais, aimed to inspire leaders, managers, and professionals in the tourism sector to be innovative, disruptive, and sustainable through sharing knowledge.   

Before the awards ceremony, the event featured a debate under the theme "Impact", aimed at recognizing the importance of solid tourism, capable of significantly impacting people, local communities, and the economy. The conversation served, above all, to jointly share impactful insights from leaders of various industries who shared inspiring examples and strategies that illustrate how people and organizations can be impacted through innovation, difference, and leadership.  

The debate was then followed by a presentation of the culture of Impacto Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality and an intervention by the current Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado, and the day culminated with the presentation of awards to Tourism Leaders.
