Statement: Nova SBE Denies False Information About Access to its Programs
Promoted by Nova | 18 April 2024 Statement: Nova SBE Denies False Information About Access to its Programs

The Faculty of Economics of Nova University of Lisbon - Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) is a reference business school in higher education in Portugal and worldwide. The excellence that we defend involves not only the School's management but also respect for the entire community and all our students.

In this context, assuming our openness to the community and the world, we are aware of false claims about the School and the student admission process disseminated on social networks by people who call themselves Nova SBE students.

Specifically, we are referring to Liang Yong, who is identified in several posts on the social network Douyin as a student of the International Master's in Finance at Nova SBE, currently in an exchange program in London.  A forged school acceptance letter that we do not recognize as having been issued by Nova SBE is even displayed in one of these publications.

Nova SBE clarifies that Liang Yong is not a student at Nova SBE, nor has he ever been, and he is not, nor has he ever been mandated to speak on behalf of this School.

On his posts, Liang Yong also adds that it is possible to enter a Nova SBE Master's program without having a Bachelor's degree or even completing high school. These allegations are also false, as confirmed in the Nova SBE access requirements displayed on our website here

In other publications, Liang Yong mentions programs that do not exist at the School and even offers his help to teach other people how to join Nova SBE in exchange for a commission.

As we consider these facts very serious and misleading to other students and the community in general, and also damaging to Nova SBE’s image and reputation, we have denounced the situation and warned of the falsity of all the information conveyed by Liang Yong on the Douyin social network, as the School does not take any responsibility for his misleading content.
