The partnership between Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) and Fundação Amélia de Mello is part of a broader initiative created by the foundation, which also includes alliances with BCSD Portugal and COTEC.
In this context, the Amélia de Mello Foundation will make available three research grants worth 150,000 euros each, associated with the names of outstanding personalities from the José de Mello family. It will focus on decarbonization, innovation in the industry, and social innovation.
These grants aim to distinguish research projects focused on pursuing fundamental transformation. They start from a proof of concept aimed at creating value from these scientific discoveries and will require further validation and development for implementation within the business fabric.
The grants will be launched annually, one for each year, sequentially in alphabetical order of the theme. They are intended to strengthen the focus on supporting researchers working in Portugal, whether or not they are part of universities, to benefit new ideas and projects.
The receivers of this grant are researchers who support the realization of research projects that may or may not be linked to the preparation of degree examinations in university life.
