By 2026, the Management Program for SMEs - Nova SBE VOICE Leadership - aims to support the modernization and competitiveness of decision-makers in national SMEs and thus positively impact the country's GDP by 2%.  

One of the first steps towards empowering these leaders is being taken this Thursday, November 23. . Through the Intensive Mentoring Certification Program, more than 40 professionals will learn how to put their professional and personal experience to work.   

Nova SBE VOICE Leadership currently has around 300 mentors, and the multiplicity of their experience in different sectors – from finance to technology – offers a complementary range of know-how to the leaders who will participate in the program.  

This first edition has a panel of trainers beyond Nova SBE professors and researchers’ portfolios. “What is Mentoring? And what is the difference between Mentoring and Coaching?”, Mentor Competencies, The phases of a mentoring process, Supporting development without judging and without prescribing a solution, and Identifying the mentor’s objective are some of the topics covered throughout the four phases of the Intensive Mentoring Certification Program, which will culminate in a workshop scheduled for November 30, where each trainee will create their mentor profile on a platform where they will maintain contact with the leaders they are mentoring during the whole program.  

By certifying mentors, Nova SBE VOICE Leadership aims to build a living ecosystem for sharing knowledge and experiences, empowering Portuguese managers and leaders, and thus impacting positively the Portuguese business landscape.
