Executive Master's in Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Drastic changes in the world can generate economic gains and losses and opportunities for entrepreneurs who know how to explore them. But, more than creating new products, an entrepreneur must be able to develop business models, leaving their mark on society.

The Executive Master's in Innovation & Entrepreneurship aims to train managers and leaders capable of questioning, discovering, and creating, contributing to the development of their businesses and the economy. By taking advantage of the entire innovation ecosystem and existing entrepreneurship in Portugal and the position of Nova SBE, Students will develop concepts and processes that will contribute to transforming practices in their companies.

 

Participant's Profile

  • Team Leaders and Members responsible for the areas of Corporate Innovation and Strategy.
  • High potential employees in the company that will define the strategy in the medium term.
  • Complementary team members to the innovation process, such as Compliance, Legal, IT, Marketing, and Human Resources.
  • Freelancers and Entrepreneurs, or Startup Managers.

1st semester
Comprises a set of mandatory curricular units specific to the management area and a set of elective curricular units that allow students to deepen their knowledge in chosen management areas.

2nd semester
Dedicated to preparing the final work project, which consists of an undertaking of practical application. This is an executive master's degree in reflection-action that plants seeds for new ways of thinking, but which also follows a path of support for execution. It seeks to meet an executive target more focused on achievement and move forward by zooming into your organization and its internal capabilities.

The Executive Masters exposes students to trends in the areas of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, preparing them to deal with the important challenges that companies are currently facing. The work project prepares students for research activities applied to today's business reality, whether qualitative or quantitative, in close collaboration with the supervisor.

In preparing the work projects, students will benefit from a number of protocols with partners, with the following objectives: 

  • Contribute to the employability and networking of students.
  • Facilitate the application of learning experiences within the up-skill and re-skill training
  • plans of the company's workforce.
  • Support students who want to develop the work project on a genuine challenge facing their company.
