With more than 20 years’ experience in international journalism, public affairs and government relations, she covers private and public sector strategic communications. She specializes in crisis situations, having advised a number of international clients in Portuguese-speaking territories. Served in the Portuguese Government as Head of Communications and spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence of Portugal and special advisor for the State Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Development Aid. Alexandra has been awarded the Portuguese National Defence Merit Award, is a qualified National Defence Auditor and holds a BA (Hns) from the European Business School in London. She is a guest lecturer on leadership and crisis communications at NOVA School of Business and Economics on MBA and Executive training programmes.
