Relevant information about the enrollment process

Relevant information about the enrollment process

During the enrollment period you should:

A) Prepare the following documents to upload on the enrollment platform:

  • Mandatory: photo (passport size - headshot only)
  • Recommended: a copy of your ID card – Cartão de Cidadão (for Portuguese nationals) or a valid passport (for foreign nationals)
  • Recommended: a copy of proof of tetanus vaccine
  • If applicable: proof of application for SASNOVA Social Support Fund Scholarship

B) Language of your classes:

First-year students can choose one of three language tracks:

  • English (all courses taught in English)
  • Portuguese (all courses taught in Portuguese)
  • Mixed (all courses in English, except for Calculus I, Calculus II, Linear Algebra with Programming and Data Analysis and Probability, which will be in Portuguese).

From the second year onwards, the Bachelor’s Programs are fully taught in English. If a student chooses the English track in their first year, upon graduating they may request a declaration stating that they completed the whole program in English.

Please note that Nova SBE cannot guarantee the availability of language tracks to all students since the attribution of schedule will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the student enrollment date.

The enrollment process is only completed once the student submits the pre-enrollment form and pays the fees (deadline is September 18 or September 20 for Special Regimes). After this, our services will start working on your student credentials and schedule, to have everything ready before classes start.

It is important to note that you can only successfully complete your application process if it's done on your desktop computer or laptop. The mobile web version will not allow you to complete it.

Students who don’t comply with the fee payment deadline will lose their place in the program.

Once you have completed your enrollment, you will be able to access the payment details of your tuition fees.

Annual tuition fees cover the full academic year and are automatically set into one payment (697€). You can also divide payments into two or ten installments. You may find this option, as well as your payment references, on Netpa (registration platform).

Besides tuition, all students are required to pay the School insurance (1,50€) and administrative fee (35€).

Payment methods available are MB Way, ATM, Credit Card and PayPal.

SAS scholarship applicants - Students applying for SAS scholarship will need to upload a copy of their application during registration online. An extended payment deadline is possible for the first installment for such students, if needed.

Your Nova SBE credentials will allow you to use important online services:

  • SharePoint & MS Teams: The main tools used to store information and communicate with students. The Bachelor’s Programs SharePoint concentrates all academic information, such as the Student Handbook, Academic Calendar, general schedules, and others. Through SharePoint, you will receive relevant communications, including alerts to deadlines and important updates.
  • Email: Please click on Outlook to access your institutional email. Note that after your registration has been concluded, all email communications will be sent to your institutional email account only, so make sure to check your inbox on a regular basis.
  • netPA: This is your personal academic area. You can access your enrollments, tuition payments, academic performance and schedules, among others.
  • Moodle: The platform where you will find all course-related information. Instructors will use course pages to publish syllabi, presentations, and other relevant resources.
