The Nova SBE Economics of Education Knowledge Center released the preliminary results of the fourth round of the survey about distance learning in schools. From the 674 responses received between July 3rd and September 12th, 2021, it is now possible to verify that the perspective about the recovery of these learning losses greatly varies from teacher to teacher. Furthermore, private-school teachers tend to be more optimistic than those that teach in public schools. Finally, around 3 out of every 4 teachers predict that their students will need some time to recover from this loss during this academic year, and 6 out of 10 teachers do not believe that all their students will recover the loss during the pandemic crisis.
