iRec| Inovar a Reciclagem is a new pilot project run by Cascais Ambiente and NOVA SBE Environmental Economics Knowledge Center that addresses existing barriers to recycling. The Municipality of Cascais is awarding prizes to those who use the City Points Cascais App and recycle beverage containers. Our school will test the effectiveness of this incentive system in the selective collection rate and study environmental behaviors, creating knowledge to inform decision-making on the transition to the new mandatory recycling system in 2022.
