Carolina Santos is a researcher at the Nova Health Economics & Management Knowledge Center at Nova School of Business and Economics, where she obtained her PhD in Economics. Her research focuses on competition and regulation in the pharmaceutical market, the economics of ageing, and access to healthcare. She is actively involved in the EU-funded project “Capacity Building to Support the Uptake of Biosimilars in a Multistakeholder Approach” and has contributed to the EU Structural Reform Support Programme project “Enhancing Cooperation and Quality in Public Administration: Support for Strengthening Health Cost Accounting in Portugal.” In addition to her research, Carolina has experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and a background in Health Economics and Outcomes Research consultancy.
