Graça Fonseca has a law degree by Lisbon Law School, University of Lisbon, a master's degree in Sociology of Law by Faculty of Economics,
University of Coimbra, and a PhD in Sociology by ISCTE. Between 2000 and 2022, Graça Fonseca worked in the public sector, at local and national
level. In 2009 she was elected councilor of the Lisbon City Council, having been responsible, until 2015, for the areas of economy and innovation,
administrative reform, education, civic participation. Appointed Secretary of State for Administrative Modernization in 2015, she was responsible for
the areas of modernization and innovation in the public sector and civic participation. In 2018 she was appointed Minister of Culture, a position she
held until March 2022. In March 2022, she began a professional career in the private sector. Founded and acts as CEO of “Because Impacts”
Agency, dedicated to the development of projects in the areas of environmental and social impact. The Agency develops projects in the areas of
strategy, innovation for impact, impact measurement (environmental and social) and cultural transformation for behavioral change.
