António serves currently as board member of HipoGes;SL an Iberian Asset Manager specialized in distressed assets; NPLs and REOs. Previously; Antonio served as President of the Lisbon Stock Exchange; Secretary of State for Treasury and Finance; Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Caixa Geral de Depósitos; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Caixa Banco de Investimento. He has also served as a Board Director of Grupo José de Mello; among other relevant roles in business. He currently serves as a non-executive director of EDP Renováveis and Reditus. António has a PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (US) and an Economics Degree from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal). He has been a Professor of Economics and Business Strategy at Nova SBE since 1995.
