Nova School of Business & Economics Executive Education and Cunha Vaz & Associados (CV&A) have partnered to create an executive training program in "Leadership and Crisis Management". Starting in October, this course is aimed at C-level leaders seeking to improve their communication ability in a crisis context.

The program was presented today through the public signing of a protocol. It will consist of four different modules with sessions guided by Nova SBE's outstanding faculty and proven business and communication leaders.

Based on case studies, the four modules will focus on risks and crises; methods and tools to actively deal with a crisis; leadership in crisis context; and how to reinvent an organization after a crisis.

The "Leadership and Crisis Management" program aims to foster the ability to foresee and prepare for a future crisis context by developing individual and shared strategies to act before, during, and after a crisis; to prepare top managers to address the different stakeholders by equipping them with a better understanding of the factors that can trigger a reputational crisis. At the corporate level, the goal is to provide tools to build a more resilient business through an organization prepared for an emergency.

According to António Cunha Vaz, CEO of CV&A, "The lessons learned from the recent political, economic, and social history show the importance that any business leader should give to the moments we call crisis; not least because they are also known for being new opportunities. It is, therefore, with a sense of fulfilment of a duty incumbent upon us, and with pride, that, in partnership with Nova SBE, we have created this executive training that will be an asset to all participants."

"In the eyes of society, the responsibility of leaders of large companies goes far beyond creating shareholder value. Social, political, and environmental challenges are now part of the leadership equation, and that's why together with CV&A, we believe this program will make a difference for all participants", comments Pedro Brito, Associate Dean for Executive Education and Business Transformation at Nova SBE.

This executive training program will be taught in-person at the Nova SBE Carcavelos Campus during the evenings.
