Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) organized, last July 12th, at 05:00 p.m., an important event on supply chain management with several professionals of the area in what will be its bright new campus, in Carcavelos.

The conference “Are we seeing the end of supply chain management?” had as its main goal to gather several renowned experts to talk about the challenges and tendencies in the supply management area, considering that we now live in a world that is constantly changing and is driven by the ongoing technological revolution. Part of the discussion panel were Afonso Almeida (Agro Merchants CEO), António Belmar da Costa (Secretary-General at AGEPOR), Jorge Marques dos Santos (President of IPQ/CTCV), José Costa Faria (GEFCO’s Commercial and Marketing Director), Joana Nunes Coelho (Executive President at APAT), and José Crespo de Carvalho (Nova SBE Professor and Academic Coordinator of Nova SBE’s Executive Education).

An innovative Argentinian startup, which is now on Nova SBE’s acceleration program – Zero Gravity Acceleration Program –, entitled Cargofive, was also presented at the conference. Cargofive has distinguished itself for developing solutions regarding the optimization and management of contracts, the optimization of the quotation process, and control of the commercial process. This conference was also a unique opportunity for Nova SBE to present their future campus and the applied post-graduation course in Supply Chain Management, which will be available soon.

The event managed to gather important figures who, after the speaker's intervention in a debate that is gradually becoming more relevant, gathered in a networking moment, in which participants could exchange ideas and face Nova SBE’s clear horizon.
