Next January 17th and 18th, leaders from different Corporate and Higher Education schools will be a part of the Merit Summit – an annual summit where several international Corporate, HR, and business schools’ directors meet – to discuss how to foster partnerships, grow and cement leadership strategies and share ideas. Nova School of Business & Economics will be part of this edition as the main sponsor and will be one of the business schools to foster discussion.

This will be the Merit Summit’s second edition and it will take place, for the first time, in Lisbon with the theme Always-On Learning, having more than 250 speakers and delegates of over 20+ nationalities from renowned companies such as McKinsey & Company, SAP SE, IBM, PwC, Linkedin, among others. Nova SBE will be one of the attendees, given that Professor Miguel Pina e Cunha will be a keynote speaker in the session on “Leadership Paradoxes” on the morning of January 18th. Hours later, Nova SBE, in representation of Nova SBE’s Venture Lab, will also present the Santander Living Innovation Lab – a successful real case study that promotes disruptive innovation inside the bank – Santander Totta Bank –with a unique approach using the school’s ecosystem as a living lab. Afterwards, Nova SBE will once again take the stage to hand out the Merit Award for Best Company Case Study Presentation – the award winners will participate in the executive education program “Intensive Management Program”.

When questioned about Nova SBE’s role, Luís Rodrigues, Nova SBE Executive Leadership Centre’s CEO, stated that the school invests in “(…) having a mix of strong members of academia who understand the challenges of execution and proven executives who appreciate the benefits of deep thinking and questioning.”
