The recognition, awarded by Eduniversal, reinforces the school’s strong position in this field.

Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) has once again secured a spot among the world’s top business schools. The Master’s in Management with an area of specialization in Hospitality and Customer Experience, offered through the Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality, has been ranked number one in the world by Eduniversal — an achievement that follows last year’s impressive debut at 6th place globally.

This distinction reflects the outstanding quality of a program that combines the academic rigor of a top-tier business school with a strategic focus on one of the most dynamic sectors of the global economy: tourism and hospitality.

In addition to building solid management skills while specializing in the tourism and hospitality industry, students in the program benefit from the support of the Westmont Hospitality Group, a strategic partner and global leader. During the Master’s thesis —an integral and highly practical component of the program — the Westmont Hospitality Group facilitates direct connections with major industry players such as Marriott, Hilton, Benfica, Ikea, and CUF. Students also highlight Lisbon — one of the world’s most sought-after tourist destinations — as an ideal environment for learning and applying their knowledge, serving as a true living laboratory for the study of hospitality and customer experience.

“It is with great pride and a deep sense of humility that we receive the recognition of Nova SBE as the number one in the world in Hospitality & Customer Experience, surpassing renowned institutions such as Cornell University, which has historically been the undisputed leader in the hospitality and tourism sector. This result is a testament to the DNA of our school, which consistently challenges the status quo, and to our commitment to academic excellence, pedagogical innovation, and international employability,” says Nova SBE Dean, Pedro Oliveira.

“We’re incredibly proud to see the Nova SBE program ranked so highly by Eduniversal. This program brings together the best of world-class business education with a specialization in one of the world’s largest industries: hospitality and tourism. Our students have the opportunity to follow their passion—whether in technology, sustainability, entrepreneurship, or other areas—within an exciting and fast-paced industry. The result is highly motivated and exceptionally talented graduates,” said Graham Miller, Academic Director of the Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism and Hospitality.

The Eduniversal ranking evaluates and ranks approximately 6000 Master’s and MBA programs from over 1000 universities and business schools across 153 countries and 56 fields of study. The full ranking is available here
