From February 11th and 15th, and for the first time in Nova School of Business & Economics’ new campus, another edition of Economia Viva – an annual conference panel about Economics ever carried out by students – will take place.
Organized by Nova SBE’s Students Union (SU) and by the Nova Economics Club (NEC) since 2016, this is a unique event aimed at encouraging the discussion and reflection of some of the most pressing political and economic issues of nowadays. Thus, several conferences with renowned national and international speakers are organized to bring forward important debates and different ideas on the topics at hand to help society reflect on them and, most importantly, young economists think about their future responsibilities.
The 4th edition of Economia Viva has already confirmed the presence of Álvaro Santos Pereira, former Minister of Economy of Portugal, Lars Nilsson, Chief Economist at DG for Trade, Helena Roseta, deputy and President of Municipal Assembly of Lisbon, Johannes Lindner, Head of Division at the European Central Bank, among many other invitees.
This cycle of conferences will take place, as previously mentioned, between February 11th and 15th, in Nova SBE’s new campus, in Carcavelos, and will have renowned national and international economists, as well as members of the government, important company representatives and Nova SBE faculty as speakers. Anyone outside Nova SBE’s community is invited to attend and foster the development of their critical economic thinking.
