Arianna Cima is a PhD student in Economics at Nova SBE. Her primary research interests are in macroeconomics, focusing on external debt sustainability and housing markets, and in development economics. Previously, Arianna worked on macroeconomic surveillance at the European Commission's DG ECFIN, developing analytical tools to assess macroeconomic imbalances by combining micro datasets with macroeconomic scenarios. Recently, she worked as a Project Manager in Kampala, Uganda, for the London School of Economics on a project assessing the efficacy of financial incentives to increase lending to the agricultural sector in East Africa. She holds a Master's Degree in Economics and Social Sciences from both Bocconi University (Milan) and Keio University (Tokyo).
