Mariana N. Pires is a PhD candidate at Nova School of Business and Economics. Her ongoing research projects span macroeconomics, including monetary policy and financial economics. She was a PhD intern in the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund during the summer of 2024. She also worked in the Monetary Statistics Section at the European Central Bank before pursuing the PhD.
