Holds a PhD in Economics from Nova SBE. Besides teaching at Nova, is also an Economist at Banco de Portugal (Portuguese Central Bank), currently working in the Statistics Department. Past working experience includes monetary policy implementation and banking conduct supervision, both at the central bank, as well as financial accounting, controlling and auditing.
