Daniel’s research focuses on how new technologies reshape digital platforms’ competitive landscape and governance. He presented his work at leading conferences such as the AOM Annual Meeting, CIST, ICIS, INFORMS, SMS, and WISE. He was invited to exclusive workshops such as the NBER Digitization Workshop or the NBER Decentralization Conference and was awarded a prestigious research grant from the NBER. Daniel received his PhD with distinction from the Technical University of Munich. Afterward, he joined NYU Stern’s Department of Technology, Operations, and Statistics as a Postdoc and co-founded the NYU Stern Blockchain Research Lab. Daniel has led and collaborated in multiple innovation projects with established firms and serves as a coach for startups in the blockchain space. His engagements include the data-driven design and analysis of digital platform business models to optimize user engagement and growth.
