Yannick's research centers on FDI and MNEs with a particular focus on how host country societies are affected by the firms and their investments. He is especially interested in how emerging and developing economies can spark societal well-being from attracting international investments, but also how such investments can potentially harm local stakeholders.
His work has been published in the Journal of International Business Studies and he regularly presents his work at international conferences. His papers have received nominations for the Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award by the Academy of international Business (AIB) and for Best PhD Paper Awards by the Strategic Management Society (SMS), and his research in Mexico has been awarded research scholarships by Responsible Research in Business and Management (RRBM) and the Erasmus Trustfonds.
