Prana´s research focuses on the intersection of decision science and operations management. He is equally intrigued by the two prominent perspectives on decision-making: heuristics as biases and heuristics as smart, adaptive strategies.
In his dissertation, he investigated how algorithmic recommendations shape human behavior in the classic newsvendor problem. His current work includes advancing methodologies to enhance transparency and rigor in experimental research, as well as studying decision-making based on experience. He also serves as a faculty co-director of the Nova Behavioral Lab.
He holds a PhD from IE Business School in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
