Paul Verdin is Visiting Professor at NOVA Business School (Lisbon), DEUSTO (Bilbao) and core strategy faculty at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership (D) as well as “University Professor” and Director of the Baillet-Latour Chair in Error Management at ULB Solvay Business School (B). He is also Emeritus Professor of Strategy and International Management at K.U.Leuven (B), previously at IESE (Spain), “Distinguished Visiting Professor” at INSEAD (France), where he was on the faculty for 20 years, Associate Dean at TiasNimbas Tilburg (NL) and Senior Fellow at the Center for Business & Government at Harvard Kennedy School. After two Master’s in Law and in Economics, both summa cum laude from K.U.Leuven (B), he received the M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University.

His research focuses on the critical role of innovative company strategy & organization for long-term value creation, and how it interacts with industry dynamics and competence- and resource-based competition, on the strategic and organizational challenges of internationalisaion and most recently on Strategic Error Management at the executive and board level.

He received various international Prizes and Awards, including five times the annual EFMD International Case Prize, for his original case-based research, publications and executive teaching.
