    Assistant Professor of Finance at Nova School of Business and Economics. 
    PhD in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a Masters in Economics from the same institution. 
    Teaches Corporate Finance in the undergraduate program at Nova SBE. 
    Research interests are in empirical corporate finance, more specifically cash management, CEO impact on corporate decisions, capital structure and payout policies.

    melissa-pradoMelissa Prado
    Assistant Professor of Finance at Nova School of Business and Economics.
    Ph.D. in Finance from RSM Erasmus University. 
    Teaches Financial Management in the graduate program at Nova SBE and coordinates de Nova Finance Seminar series. 
    Research interests are in institutional investment and money management, empirical asset pricing, security lending and short sales and real estate. Her research has been published in academic journals such as Real Estate Economics.

    martijn-boonsMartijn Boons
    Assistant Professor of Finance at Nova School of Business and Economics. 
    Ph.D. in Finance from Tilburg University.
    Teaches Financial Management in the graduate program at Nova SBE and coordinates de Nova Finance Seminar series. 
    His research is in empirical asset pricing and has been presented at various universities as well as global academic conferences, such as the Annual Meetings of the American Finance Association, the Annual Meetings of the Financial Intermediation Research Society and the National Bureau of Economic Research.

    Associate Professor of Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics.
    PhD in Economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain, in Belgium. 
    Teaches or has taught several courses at Nova SBE, including Public Economics, Game Theory, Microeconomics, and Poverty: concepts and challenges. She is currently the academic director of the MSc in Economics, the Research Master and the PhD in Economics. 
    Research focus on the economics of multi-layered governments, including tax competition and political economy issues. She is a Research Associate of CEPR and CORE-UCL.  Her work is published in academic journals such as The Economic Journal, the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of Public Economic Theory, The Journal of International Economics, Regional Science and Urban Economics, and the Journal of Urban Economics.

    pedro-vicentePedro Vicente
    Associate Professor of Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics and the scientific director of NOVAFRICA.
    Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, and is affiliated with BREAD and with the CSAE at the University of Oxford.
    Researches on development economics, with an emphasis on political economy issues, and a special interest in Africa. He designed and conducted fieldwork (including randomized field experiments) in Angola, Mozambique, Nigeria, Cape Verde and Sao Tome and Principe. He has published articles in top field journals such as the Journal of Development Economics. 
    He is Lead Academic for Mozambique at the IGC, a consortium between the LSE and Oxford, and a consultant for the World Bank.

    guido-marettoGuido Maretto
    Assistant Professor of Business Strategy at Nova School of Business and Economics. 
    Holds a PhD in Social Science from California Institute of Technology. He previously worked as a Researcher on the Evolution of Markets at the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics in the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
    Teaches Strategy (Industry and Competition), Games and Markets, and Organization and Incentives in the graduate program at Nova SBE. 
    His research uses information economics to analyze problems in markets and organizations.

    Holds a PhD in Industrial and Business Studies (Marketing and Corporate Communications) - Marketing & Strategic Management Group from Warwick Business School, Warwick University, England.
    Research interests are in Relationship Marketing, RM Metrics, B2B relationships in the internationalization context, Dynamic Capabilities snd Corporate Social Responsibility.

    Assistant Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics.
    Ph.D. in Emotion and Decision Making from Tilburg University.
    Research interests include: emotion and decision-making, consumer behavior, leadership, presenteeism and health at work.




    luisa-aganteLuisa Agante
    Adjunct Assistant Professor of Consumer Behavior at Nova School of Business and Economics.
    Holds a PhD in marketing from ISCTE-IUL on the topic of Children Consumer Behavior.
    She is consultant for APAN (Portuguese Advertisers Association) for Media Smart (an advertising literacy program for kids 7-11), and has consultant experience in children consumer behavior. Until 2007 she worked in the marketing or advertising department of several companies from Sonae group, mostly startups like Banco Universo, Optimus, Exit and Público, where she worked on the launch or relaunch of those companies. 
    Teaches Consumer Behaviour, Children Consumer Behaviour, Personal Branding (creativity in personal development and working with Life Purpose), Personal Citizenship, and has teaching experience in other areas (Economics, Marketing, Communication and Advertising).


    elizabete-cardoso Elizabete Cardoso
    Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at Nova School of Business and Economics.
    MSc in Marketing from ISCTE-IUL, post-graduate degree in Market Research and Customer Relationship Management  from ISEGI and BSc. in Economics from Nova SBE.
    She has managed the CEMS MIM at Nova SBE, created the Marketing department of the School and founded the New Projects and Program Development unit she currently heads.
    She has worked in Business Planning at Citigroup, Customer Insights Manager at Barclays Portugal, with main responsibilities in marketing analytics and segmentation for the Western European markets, and in the Brand and CRM department of Vodafone Portugal.
    Teaches Marketing Research and Customer Relationship.
