Eduardo Mendes
Guest Speaker
Managing Partner @ Harpoon

With two decades of experience in human resources management, talent, and organizational transformation, Eduardo Mendes has built a career that bridges executive leadership, strategic consulting, and executive education.

He is currently Managing Partner at Harpoon, a consultancy specializing in talent solutions, where he drives strategic vision, business growth, and team leadership, ensuring alignment between culture, people, and organizational performance.

Before joining Harpoon, Eduardo served as Head of People & Leadership at Sonae SGPS, leading talent management and leadership development across the group. Earlier in his career, he worked at Pernod Ricard, first as HR Director in Portugal and later as Head of Talent Management for EMEA & LATAM, based in Paris, where he oversaw global talent development programs in a highly multicultural environment.

His professional journey has been defined by his ability to lead in times of change, explore new business models for HR, and drive the cultural transformation required for organizations to remain sustainably competitive.

Eduardo Mendes stands at the forefront of people management, exploring the intersection of talent, culture, and technology to shape organizations that are more agile, intelligent, and future-ready. For him, technology does not replace the human factor - it amplifies it. And it is precisely at this intersection of data, AI, and leadership that he helps organizations build resilient and transformative cultures.

Eduardo holds a master’s degree in business management from ISCTE Business School and a degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Coimbra. He completed the Advanced Leadership Program at INSEAD and is an accredited coach (ACTP) by the International Coaching Academy, certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
