Gustavo Brito is an independent consultant with end-to-end experience in strategy and execution projects, working with both leading international consultancies and organizations seeking high-value strategic advice. His work spans from scoping and approach definition to senior client management and the delivery of measurable results.
He spent seven years at McKinsey & Company (Lisbon and London), where he built solid experience in strategy, marketing, organization, and transformation. He worked closely with top management teams across various sectors, including telecommunications, energy, aviation, healthcare, and consumer goods, on projects developed in Portugal, Spain, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States.
His connection to Nova SBE began in 2011, as the founder and coordinator of the Management Consulting Labs, a pioneering program that provides master’s students with real consulting experience alongside corporate partners. He currently collaborates with Nova SBE Executive Education as a guest expert, bringing an applied perspective on how data and analytics can inform strategic decision-making.
In Executive Education, he stands out for his ability to turn complex problems into clear action plans, combining analytical thinking and creativity to generate tangible impact. He works with management teams on defining priorities, trade-offs, and critical indicators, ensuring disciplined, results-oriented execution.
He currently divides his time between academia and consulting, working on selected projects that combine analysis, creativity, and disciplined execution. He is a member of Umbrex, a global network of alumni from top consulting firms such as McKinsey.
