He advises boards on sustainable governance and long-term value creation, combining technical knowledge with hands-on executive experience in highly regulated sectors. His contributions include the implementation of national extended producer responsibility systems, leadership of international circular economy initiatives, and support in shaping public policies with lasting impact on the environmental sector.
In academia, he promotes meaningful integration between teaching, research, and corporate practice, leading collaborative projects with measurable impact. His teaching approach is grounded in real cases, real data, and decision-making simulations that reflect the regulatory, reputational, and climate-related uncertainty organisations face today. He encourages systemic approach and a strategic view of sustainability as a long-term business driver.
Luís Veiga Martins believes that sustainability is not a trend or a regulatory requirement, but a strategic imperative for companies aiming to remain relevant and resilient — and a collective capability to address the challenges and opportunities of our time.
