Luís F. Martinez is Assistant Professor of Marketing and researcher at Nova SBE. He holds a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Tilburg University. He holds [or held] Visiting Scholar positions at the MIT Sloan School of Management, VSE University of Economics Prague, and EM Strasbourg Business School. Prior to joining Nova SBE, he was Assistant Professor at the Business School of ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.

His work has appeared in prestigious academic journals [e.g., Decision, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Research, Cognition and Emotion, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Economic Psychology, Stress and Health], and he authored/edited five books.

He teaches Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Behavioral Decision Making, and Research Methods at the Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. level. He also supervises Direct Research Master Work Projects, Ph.D. Theses, and CEMS Business Projects.

In the beginning of his career, he participated in the 4th edition of Inov Contacto @AICEP international training program, where he worked at the Marketing Department of Tafisa Canada [Sonae Indústria] in Montreal, Canada.
